Drone Dispatch offers intelligent solutions for all of your aerial photography needs. A specific service that we are proud to uniquely offer is mapping for agriculture, construction, and mining industries. Our mapping drones use topographic data in order to provide our clients with an array of volumetric readings. We offer 3D orthomosaic maps, digital terrain models, and/or 3D textured maps.
Satellites, manned flight operations, and surveying companies have traditionally been used to collect mapping data. There are three problems with these now outdated methods. First, they are expensive. Mapping costs range from $20,000 to $150,000. Second, the processes of mapping and receiving the data are slow. The turnaround for data from these traditional methods ranges from 3 weeks to 3 months. Lastly, the data information gleaned is no longer the best data that you can get: there is far more accurate, detailed, and clear information now available.
How can you get this superior data? From drones! Drones offer better, more accurate, more detailed data than that which comes from the traditional methods of data gathering. When utilizing drones for mapping purposes, you pay a fraction of the cost of using satellites or manned flight vehicles. By employing drones, you can also expedite the processes of mapping by an extraordinary amount. Not only does the actual data gathering time frame get shorter (depending on property size, the flight could take anywhere from five minutes to a few hours) but, we can also deliver your data to you quicker. Some larger projects could take up to 72 hours, but other projects could be returned to you within a couple of hours. Right now, we are working with Flintco, a commercial construction company, where we offer same day processing; we film everyday at 11:30 am, and deliver their maps and photos by 1 pm.
Using drones for mapping purposes saves your firm time and money. Consider for a moment that your firm is interested in a particular plot of land, and so hires out a surveying company for $100,000 to map the property. Two months later, you receive the data back and realize that the land is not adequate to develop. With drone mapping, your firm could have saved tens of thousands of dollars and you could have been on to the next prospect within three days.
Drone Dispatch is one of the only firms in the industry that can provide drone mapping. We have been mapping for a year using the most cutting edge drone technology available. Whatever your needs, we can utilize a number of pieces of equipment that are most appropriate for your unique situation.
Our process is simple. All you have to do is reach out. Once you contact us, we will set up a consultation at your convenience. From there, we will send out a pilot to map your project. Our pilot will set down ground control points on your property with GPS enabled devices that provide our drones with known benchmarks to assure accuracy up to a centimeter. Our drones will fly in a grid pattern, all while taking overlapping pictures of your land. From there, we will run your data through our industry specific software program and return your comprehensive solutions in a timely fashion in the form in which you prefer.
We offer drone mapping for all stages of development. We fly on undeveloped sites in order to gather data from raw land. We can also fly during the construction phase from the moment you break ground until the moment you finish construction. During this phase, we gather images that allow you to maintain quality control and to monitor the site in order to rest assured that construction is going as planned. By gathering images during this phase, you will have a leg up over your competition because you can offer these high quality images to your clients and investors. We can also fly post construction in order to assist with maintenance at the site.
We have partnered with a number of firms including Big Red Dog, an Austin based civil and MEP engineering firm, Flintco, a century-old commercial construction company, and Lone Start Tank Rentals, a frac tank company. We are not regionally bound as we have a team of professional pilots nationwide. So, wherever you are, whatever industry you are in, reach out to us, and prepare for your job to get a whole lot easier!
